I just got back from a friend's baby shower... her step-MIL (you following) got her a Louis Vuitton diaper bag.  Can you imagine what that costs??? Or how PO'd you'll be when your baby spits up all over it/spills milk on it or you have to put clothes covered in diarrhea inside it?  Yikes.

    I feel similarly about expensive sunglasses - I'm so afraid I will lose or break them that I refuse to buy nice ones, even though I've had my same cheapo Target pair for a few years now.

    $1600.  I used to joke with dh that I wanted the blue one.  Now that I have the baby I really like dh''s bag.  It has the most pockets.  I haven't used either of my diaper bags yet.

    It all depends on how you spend your money. Some people like shoes and handbags. Some people want to spend money on a diaper bag.

    I'm a handbag person. I don't have an LV diaper bag, but I have a couple of pricey ones. It's the ONLY bag I carry, so I want it to be stylish.

    I have 3 kids and my bags have never been spit up on, and there has never been a spill. As for poop covered clothing, it has rarely happened, but the items go into a ziploc then my bag.?
