hi,
my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for the last 7 months - which we know is still kinda early.
the thing is i've been going to an acupuncturist for the last 8 months - getting treatments and taking herbs - but, i've seen very little change in my cycles and in my overall health. it's a costly investment and i was wondering if anyone knows of an acupuncturist in the dc area who specializes in fertility and who may have treated you personally.

I see Alec Maines (he's in Bethesda and McLean) and he has helped some people with fertility - I saw him for migraines and he helped a lot. I think he charges $60/session; a little less if you have CareFirst insurance. Are you charting? Reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility helped me a lot . . . GL!

thanks - i might check alec out. i'm somebody in silver spring right now, but i'm not sure how experienced they are in fertility.
and yes, i'm charting and read TCOYF.
I used Jan Edwards in Crofton, MD. ?I really like her a lot, but she doesn't specialize in fertility.

I recommend Kerri Westheiser. She has offices in Bethesda, DC (Tenleytown) and Falls Church. I saw her in conjunction with IVF treatment at Shady Grove Fertility and am now 14 weeks pregnant. She charges $85.00/session but will work with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
