Prepping PFs--Detergent

I'm ready to prep today! What detergent should I use to prep my GMD PFs?

    I used Crunchy Clean in all four loads (wash, wash, dry; wash, wash, dry), and Dawn in the first two loads.  Worked like a charm on my bleached GMDs.

    Just a squirt of Dawn.  Vague, I know.  Ummm....how about 1/2 tablespoon? 

    You could use any of the "approved" detergents from pinstripesandpolkadots.com.  I think Purex Free & Clear is among them.  Really, though, you'll need to get yourself some CC.  It's like crack, for laundry.

    You are very welcome.  Prepping them is so fun.  When they come out of the dryer that last time, they're so fluffy and soft.  It's quite rewarding to stack and fold them, just-so.  If you're anything like me, you'll stack and fold them several times over to get it juuuuuust right. 

     

    But, then, maybe not.  Perhaps I'm just projecting my own nerdiness on any poor unsuspecting soul to come along.

    oh, i'm totally excited to fold them. i just wish i had a "final" spot to put them when they're all folded. they're going to have to go somewhere random for now.

    If it's only prefolds you're going to have in there, you can really use anything to prep them - they're just cotton, so there's not much to mess up like PUL, etc:) Just use 1/4-1/2 the amount of detergent that you'd usually use until you get some "CD-approved" detergent because you'll wind up washing prefolds with other stuff - covers, etc - and you don't want anything that'll leave residue on covers or pocket diapers, super sensitice fabrics etc.
