Need good thoughts. My MIL has been diagnosed with cancer. :-(

It's a sad day here. My MIL got the results of the biopsy on her uterus today and had asked me to come with her when she got the news. I was fearing the worst, because they wouldn't give her the results over the phone, and in my experience, that is never a good sign.

Sure enough, the OB gave us the news that the biopsy came back positive. She will have to have a hysterectomy, and only then will they be able to tell how far the cancer has spread. God willing, it will not have spread to the lymph nodes.

My poor MIL is pretty freaked out, as is Mr. Skat, although he has a tendency to downplay bad news.

Ladies, any good wishes you can spare is appreciated. Here's hoping that the cancer has not spread out of the uterus and the hysterectomy will take care of it.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Will be praying for your MIL and your family. You will get through this! We're in the midst of it now...my mom found out she had breast cancer in Oct...double mastectomy November, and now in chemo. It's not fun, but you take it day by day and you fight this cancer til it's gone!
