Oh, that irritates me. Enjoy the fact that people who will love and support your family are willing to set aside time for you. If they want to get you something too, very cool.

If not, you shouldn't ask why, just be happy they came.

I had to throw the economy in there in my reply. We have quite a few friends who've recently been laid off and had some major life changes. Not to mention that almost everyone I know is tightening the budget at least a little. We are happy to know that they are excited and supportive for us.

She posted how she was upset that things were not being bought off her registry and how she had only gotten 8-10 gifts so far through her pregnancy.

Whatabiitch. She posted a f/u that her shower went great and she got lots of cute stuff and free daycare. Someone asked why she dd and she said she didn't need to explain herself.
