i have an acupuncture appointment tomorrow and i have to tell my acupuncturist that i'm going to take a "break" from all the TTC stuff.

H and i are not going on a TTC break. i'm just putting my CBEFM, thermometer, chart and books away in a box and just take a mental break from all that crap. this will include taking a break from the acupuncture. right now as i'm training for the l.a marathon, my sister's wedding and all the books i want to read it's just getting to be too much. i want to be able to just have my entire saturday off with no appointments to go to and no herbs to take.

i'm going to tell her "it's not you....it's me".

what do you guys think?

It was kind of awkward when I told my acu I wasn't going to come back. She was kind of pushy about me continuing treatments and it kind of bothered me. We ended on friendly terms and she recently e-mailed me to say hi and see how I was doing. When I told her that I was on bedrest b/c of preterm labor concerns she wrote me back this long e-mail about how she thinks I need to start treatments again and how she will do house calls. I know she has to advocate for her business but it sort of bothered me. I hope your acu 'break up' goes well for you. Sounds like you have a good plan, taking a break to focus on all of the many other things keeping you busy. Plus my acu was super expensive..so now you'll have extra cash in your pocket too.

this is exactly the kind of acup she is. this is what i'm predicting will happen.

I hate those type of situations.

I have a friend trying to get me to take her juice plus supplements she sells. It's akward to say no all the time and I imagine would be even worse to tell her no after I'd started.
