Elmo's Birthday Party-GAH

Tomorrow, Border's in our town is having ELMO there and having goodies to celebrate Elmo's birthday.  I felt like anass calling Border's and asking about when Elmo's party was. The guy asked if I'd be bringing any kids--umm "NO, I'm 39 and I WANT to come to Elmo's birthday party".  Duh.

I used to do things like go to art galleries on the weekend, catch the Metro to the Smithsonian, see a play.

Now, I am going to subjugate myself to Elmo festivities.  Isa is so excited, Elmo is like Elvis to her.  I pray she does not pull down her pants to show Elmo her Elmo panties--she already told me tonight she "really wants to".

Good front page photo I guess.  Sorta like Monica Lewinski showing the pres her thong undies.

Much love, Jill

  • LOL!  If she does pull down her pants, I hope you get a pic and put it in your siggy!  Too funny!

Elmo parties are all the rage in my family.  I'm so sick of Elmo cakes.  Frosting should not be bright red.  Elmo's actual birthday though, now that's something special!  :)

  • Have fun, and the image of Isa pulling her pants down to show Elmo her panties almost made me spit water all over my laptop.

  • but... but... mom... its a once in a life time elmo pantie party!!! she'll probably be fine and not show her panties, but goodness knows when that child gets it in her mind to do something, she's like her mom, unstoppable!

BTW: where's the new "pic" for the siggy????

  • good luck w/ the festivities :)  personally i m a huge anti-fan of elmo.  cant stand the stupid little red monster.  i miss the old days of sesame st.

funnily, MIL sent ben that stupid tmx elmo for his birthday - ben touched it, it moved, and he screamed and cried.  am i a horrible person to be glad?  she thought she was sending the most wonderful, bestest gift ever and he is scared of it.  i think there is a god ;-)

  • I totally LOL'd at the guy asking if you'd be bringing kids.  DH looked at me and was like "is everything ok over there?"  :)
  • I know, wth-no it's just ME coming to Elmo's birthday...I was confused.

My kids hate the moving Elmo things, so I wonder what they will think the a giant, mobile Elmo.  Maybe this will end the obsession (I know, I am evil).
