NTTTCR- Sewing question.

I am trying to make a body pillow. Since they are so expensive and we are only using it to fill it a space between my wall and bed, I figured how hard could it be?

I have a little sewing kit and it comes with this little aluminum piece. It has a triangular loop and it sticks out of an ovalish flat piece of aluminum.

What the heck is it? What's it called and what's it for?

Re: NTTTCR- Sewing question.

  • Oh I used to know this....crap. (Googles) It's a needle threader!
  • Loading the player...
  • If it is small/really thin, it sounds like it could be your needle threader.  You pull the thread through the loop, then put the wire loop through the needle hole and pull the thread through.

  • Thank you!!!!! I thought it might with threading, but couldnt figure out how to use it, so I thought it couldn't be right. I will youtube how to use it. lol.
  • You put the thread through the wire part (which should look like a diamond-shape), then squeeze the wire part flat and stick the whole thing (wire and thread) through the eye of the needle.  Once the thread is through, pull the threader off.  The larger silver part attached to the wire is your grip.

And depending on your machine and needle, you may not even need it.  I can usually thread my machine by hand.
