Kettering Medical/ West Chester MC

Has anyone delivered at Kettering Medical Center? What are your thoughts if you have or have not decided to go there.?

Also has anyone heard anything about when West Chester Medical Center is expected to open?

    I delivered at Kettering Medical Center, and I had a great experience. Granted, I had to have an emergency c-section at 36 wks; however, the doctors, nurses, and NICU staff were incredibly helpful and supportive, and they served all of our needs! GL.

    Oops, forgot to mention one quirk about Kettering Med. Center- they won't do any VBACs. I really want to try VBAC for our next child, but I know that I will have to go to Miami Valley if my OB gives me the OK... this is the one thing that I wish I could change about KMC.

    I believe West Chester MC will be opening in May. My DH just got hired there on Wednesday and I'm almost positive he said they would be opening in May.

    I delivered at Kettering.  I, too, ended up with a c-section.  Since this was my first experience having a baby,so I don't have anything to compare it to.  However, I thought the nursing staff was good and the LC's there were excellent.  Kettering is a really nice facility, too.

    I haven't delivered at KMC but I have several friends who have. All of them have had great experience. Also there is also Southview which is a part of KMC & I have actually gone there with a couple of friends. I really liked it there personally as did my friends who have given birth there. If my OB delivers there that is where I plan to go because I work right next to KMC & would prefer not to have the whole office coming over to visit.

    I did and I loved it.  I was really afraid at first because everyone I knew went to Miami Valley.  But the nurses were great and the LCs were very helpful - I went back to visit them quite a few times.  ANd the most important part - the food was good too. :)

    West Chester MC is supposed to open in March, unless they have pushed it back.
