did you get to pick when or did doc tell you when ?

We agreed on a time. She suggested 40w5d and I said I wanted to wait until 41, so that is what we did.

Your doctor can't just tell you, and you can't just pick. You both have to be on the same page.

My dr wanted to do it at exactly one week overdue. I convinced her to wait an extra 4 days.

My midwife suggested a day during the 41st week - she suggested that day because she was going to be at the hospital.

Based on my experience - don't induce unless you have to!

I went for my 39 week appointment and told my doctor I was ready to be induced whenever she was ready to do it. She induced me on my due date because that was the next available date the hospital had. The delivery went very smoothly for us although that is not always the case when asking to be induced!

I ended up going on my own, but I had an induction scheduled. My doctor picked when I would be induced.

My doctor told me at 37 weeks she would like to induce me earlier due to medical reasons, if I started to dilate by my next appointment. At 38 weeks I was dilated 1cm. She told me she would induce me the next day. So, my doctor picked the day.

At 38 weeks, my doc said I had to pick either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of the next week. So a little of both.
