  • Hey, I live in Collegeville!  Anyway, it's very hard to keep up with laundry when the baby comes (your own, anyway!) so i'd get maybe 3 sleep bras.  I love mine, Medela, don't know if that website sells them.  GL!!!

  • I had one sleep bra and one tank, for sleeping and hanging out in the house.  An extra 1 or 2 would have been nice at the time, but I rarely wear them now.
  • lol- hi locals. I live in King of Prussia- too funny.

Honestly, i wouldn't buy bras until about two weeks after your milk comes in. Buy a nursing tank or two to hold you off. your breasts change WAY too much after your milk comes it.

And then i would get fitted for at least one good *nonunderwire* bra and then get two or so cheaper bras. I planned on bf'ing for at least a year so i got three bras.

  • I never bought any sleep bras. I like to sleep/hang out in nursing tanks. I have maybe 5 of them.

  • I have 3 sleep bras from Motherhood.  They are sized S-M-L so it's not a big deal to buy them ahead.  I have 4 nursing tanks all from Target.  The new Gillian O'Malley style is nicer than the older ones.  I used the tanks a lot to layer under another shirt to make it easier to NIP.

  • I have 3 sleep bras from Motherhood which have held up nicely. I wear those to sleep in. I found the best nursing bras IMHO to be the bravado ones. That was after lots of different types. I agree though w/waiting for the actual everyday nursing bras until DC is born.

BTW, I grew up in Phoenixville!

  • I've got 4 nursing bras.  I love my bravado ones, and ditto pps on waiting until your milk comes in to get fitted for these.  I didn't care for the sleep bras.  I'd rather sleep in a nursing tank.

  • I much preferred my nursing tanks.  I'm just now starting to wear a nursing bra each day and my little guy is almost 12 weeks.  I had two tanks and two sleep bras (all from Target).  I wish I had at least 4 tanks.  However, I am smaller chested, so I don't need as much support.
  • I have 3 total and a tank. but I would wearing the bras out too.my LC says you should wear it all the time. for the support and ease of feeding. regular bras, especially ones with under wire can cause clog ducts.
  • I just wear my nursing tanks. Much more comfy and I can lounge around the house in them also

  • I get by with two tanks and two bras - I wore both under cloths and the tanks doubled as sleepwear.
  • I started out with two sleep nursing bras (Medela) and two nursing tanks (Target) and that worked fine for the first month or so.  I now have four tanks and four regular nursing bras (two Medela, two from Motherhood) in addition to the sleep bras.
  • I agree with everyone that you should wait until your milk is in before purchasing nursing bras. That said, one thing I try to do is wear a clean bra everyday. So depending on how often you're planning on doing laundry.... But personally I have one nursing tank, 3 nursing medela bras, and 3 sleep bras (from Motherhood).
