Raise your legs, don't sit too long in pants that constrict around the top of your legs. Whatever happens, under no circumstances, should you attempt to drink a gallon of water in one day in an attempt to pee it all out of you. It will make you more swollen.
My legs have been swelling for about a 10 days now, hip to toe. Loose pants are the best for work, since I sit all day. I found lying on the couch all of last weekend to be gretly beneficial.
Stay away form salty foods. Try to elevate your feet as much as possible even when at work. I spent Thursday afternoon through Monday off my feet in bed or the recliner. By Saturday morning I had ankles again. (I have been sick since Thursday) Now that I am back at work my ankles and feet have started swelling again.
