DD is sick and of course we have been getting up with her every 30 mins to every two hours while sick. As soon as she gets better, I hope she will just resume like she has been in the past several weeks- waking up once or twice a night, instead of 5-10 like she was doing before Ferberizing.

What have been your experiences after your DC has been sick? Did they go back to their old sleep or resume good sleep habits?

    DD just got over the flu so we were up constantly and she has already resumed to her old "ferberized" sleep patterns.

    It's not a sickness, but the same idea- my parents were in town last week, so DS was in the PnP in our room, so he woke up more often because of us.  He was back in his room last night, and it went perfectly.  He woke up once just like he always did, and went down without a peep.  Good luck!

    dd had an upper respiratory infection and either slept with us or was up all night and it took about a week to "referberize." not too bad.

    We had to "re-ferber" after a bad teething bout (3, yes, 3 teeth, coming in at the same time). We caved and held her during that time and it took us 3 days to re-ferber her.
