Tried out the crib last night :)

and I am wondering why I didn't do this sooner. DH has been sick so I needed to get Madison out of our room in the pack n play and into her nursery.

At first, I felt so bad like she was so far away from me. I hooked up the monitors and went to sleep scared I wouldn't hear her, thinking the channel was off (making up things in my head..yes).

The result, she went to sleep at 10 (and so did I) and woke up at 3am....5 hours of sleep. The longest she has ever gone at night and then after going back down at 4 am she slept until 7:30.

I am in shock that I got 8 1/2 hours of sleep last night.

Hale thats great. As soon as I muster up the courage I'm going to move him to his crib too!!! lol But he did nap in there they other day and when he woke up he freaked out and started screaming (something he never does when he wakes up).

Good girl Madison!!! The first night in their room definitely is the hardest...you wake up worried that the baby hasn't cried yet and automatically think something is wrong...you then go in to check on the baby and he/she is off in "la la land" with such a peaceful look on their face!! Later it hits you that YOU were also able to get some rest!!! Big Smile

Awww, congrats! I am wondering when we are going to make that leap ourselves! Chase's bedroom is very far from our room (totally on opposite sides of the house), and even though we have a monitor I am kind of scared too! Glad it worked out so well for you and congrats on getting sleep!
