I'm really having a hard time finding bedding I really like. I'm trying to avoid a certain "theme" (jungle, race cars, etc), and I really wanted to use the colors blue, green and brown. I wanted fairly simple bedding and I wanted to do more with accessories throughout the room. This bedding has all 3 of those colors (plus others), but do you think it's okay for a boy?? Esp if I paint the walls and accessorize in those 3 colors I listed to bring those colors out in the bedding?
Re: WDYT of this bedding? Boy, girl, or neutral?
Hmm well i guess technically it's neutral colors, but I would be more likely to use that for a girl than a boy.
Target! And it's very inexpensive.
Here's the link (I Had it in the post originally but then I just PIP'ed the pics instead)

Neutral-and way cute!
This is what I was planning on doing - focusing on the blue, green, and brown w/ different accessories. Then if we have a girl and want to re-use the bedding, we can focus more on the red and yellow to bring those colors out. That's what I liked about this when I found it. And the price tag doesn't hurt, either!
LOVE this, we almost got this ourselves. my sister found this on here somewhere too:

Oh my gosh!!! That bedroom is so cute. I'm definitely bookmarking that for ideas!! Thank you for that!
Ditto - mostly neutral, but slightly more boyish. Especially if you play up the brown and blue in the room.
no prob! we tried all last week at several targets and couldn't find a single piece of that set in store, but we found some on ebay and amazon as well as target.com. plus, it looks like you can mix with some of the other dwell stuff (circles and rings, i believe)
i saved that room with the tree b/c we are still doing it, even though we aren't using that bedding, my mom offered to make our bedding, so we are taking her up on it.
Ha, I'm sure my DH would agree with yours. Actually, if it were up to DH, the baby's room would likely be race car EVERYTHING. We made a deal I get to do all the decision making for the nursery, he just gets to help paint and put stuff together.
But I hope he doesn't mind it too much, I don't want to hear him complain that it's girly.
I just ordered the 3 pc set and the fuzzy blanket on Target's website. I decided to skip the bed skirt (that you have to order separately) b/c all of the pics I've seen of this bedding (including the room you showed me) didn't use the skirt and it looked fine. So I decided to exnay the skirt.
What i love about this bedding is that you can play around w/ colors so much, it's simple enough you could still use animals to accessorize if you wanted - you can play it up however you want. I can't wait to get the bedding and start decorating!
have fun with your nursery, too!
It looks neutral to me. Very cute set.
