I know this sounds weird but, sweet smelling urine??

Ok, so I have been noticing that in the morning my urine has been smelling sort of sweet, that's the only way I can describe it. I looked online and I have read that it can be from diabetes, I am only 14 weeks, so I have not been tested for that yet. I have also read that it can be just from pregnancy, which I didn't have anything like this with my other 2 pregnancies.

My question is.... should I ask to be checked when I see my doctor next (at 16 weeks)? I will mention it to her, but I am wondering how many other women have experienced this, and the outcome. Thanks!

Call your doc. Amniotic fluid is sweet smelling.

if it continues, i would def mention it to your doc~ but they always do a urine sample (well at least my doc does) at each visit and that will check for sugar crystals that can mean diabetes- so either way, you should know at your next appt.
