  • I voted..lol..

Yes, we are. I haven't decided about the anes yet, though.

  • why wouldn't use want anesthesia used?
  • More like why wouldn't we...

I'm undecided, I want it used..apparently there is a big to-do about using anes/circum and until I talk to a pedi or a doctor about it, I can't make a decision. I was curious as to what other parents have decided.

  • 1.) it seems wrong to me to have your son undergo a painful medical procedure WITHOUT some sort of anesthesia, at least topically administered, if not a penile block.

2.) if you are looking for opinions about whether or not you SHOULD have it done, that's another story. You seem fairly certain that you are going to do it, though.

3.) If you want more information about NOT doing it, let me know.

  • I'm learning new stuff EVERYDAY. I have no knowledge of pain relief for that kind of procedure, I was hoping to wait until my parenting classes came around (next month) before finding out or whenever we pre-register at the hospital. It's on my list of questions when the time comes. I'll start asking in a month.

I know it's a hot topic on here, so I didn't want to ask "WHY did you give your son anes" or "WHY not"...people get all up in arms re: epidurals, bfing...

I will keep you in mind though, thank you!
