There are several of us whose babies just turned one or are turning one shortly. How many times a day do you offer whole milk and how much does your little one drink?
Elizabeth and I are right in the middle of transitioning from bottles/formula to milk/sippies. In the last few weeks I've noticed her demand for fluids is way down since she's eating solids so well. We kind of skipped right over baby food and went directly to table foods since she hated being fed with a spoon.
Just curious about the milk consumption. TIA!
Re: How much whole milk does your 1yo drink?
Zero. I offer it at least twice a day and she refuses it. The pedi said to keep trying, but not to worry as long as she's getting 2 servings of dairy a day (which she is, she eats her weight in yogurt and cheese).
I'm not sure at what point I throw in the towel and just quit offering it to her...
between 12-16 ozs.
when she was drinking from a bottle it was more than that, but she just won't sit down and drink from a cup the way she would with a bottle. we pretty much offer it all day to her, here and there.
This is almost the exact schedule we have.
This sounds just like Elizabeth. I'm also offering it all day long. I guess there are just some babies that don't drink as much! I didn't have one of those the first time around so I'm freaking out a little. They have opposite drinking habits. Sarah would be happy to eat nothing and drink milk all day long.
Ditto everything. This is actually still how it is though if she asks for more she can gave more and she can walk around with her cup while we are around but finding old milk cups is nasty so we keep a close eye on her.
