a hairdresser. My 6 yr old nephew (my sister's son) was playing "salon" with my 5 yr old daughter yesterday afternoon (my father was watching them). Well, I got a frantic phone call from my sister asking me to call her back asap. Well I did. Evidently my nephew cut off (with safety scissors)almost 5 inches of my daughter's beautiful long hair. This was the conversation that took place between my nephew and sister:
My sister: Why on earth would you have cut Bella's hair?
Aiden: Well, Bella told me that auntie (me) wanted her to get a haircut
My sister: Okay, that may be true, but I don't think auntie wanted you to cut it.
Aiden: Well, I was trying to save her money...
I couldn't help but to laugh. I can't sweat the small stuff and it's only hair, it will grow back. I'm not mad about it, it's not worth getting angry and placing blame. The problem I'm having with this is that my sister is acting as if my daughter put him up to it and that's it's more her fault than anyone else's. Where is the logic in that?
Re: Interesting event last night, never a dull moment...My nephew thinks he's...
How funny. DD got ahold of some infant nail scissors awhile back and cut some layers into her hair. When I took her in to hairdresser the following day to even things out a bit she commented that dd actually did a pretty good job.
I remember being about 6 and cutting not only my hair but both of my little sister's hair the day before we were going to take family pictures. My mom was not pleased.
