co-worker IF comment...so rude

One of my co-workers has had multiple miscarriages so one would think she'd understand how sensitive if is. She has no idea I'm going through IF as I don't think it's any of her business but this is what she says the other day..."I'm not sure about all this IVF stuff, I think it's amazing what they can do but there's a reason every other species has some type of population control...maybe people should think about this before undergoing treatment"...right, aside from octo-mom, I am pretty sure it is not women undergoing IVF who are overpopulating our world!

    Tell her to rent the movie "Idiocracy".  Don't tell her what it's about, just tell her to rent it.  DH and I were watching that again last night...it would be the best comeback to that comment I could ever think of!

    Ugh, dont you just want to punch people when they say stuff like that. It drives me nuts.You should ask her...well if your heart was not working would you do something about it, I think so. Its the same concept, something is obviously not working right, so we go to the doctor to see if they can fix it.

    What a horrible and heartless comment.  Would you ask her if her multiple miscarriages were a blessing because they also control overpopulation?  While I am ususally in favor of educating people, this woman deserves a good beotch slap.

    I was in so much shock I didn't know what to say! She has a nephew through IVF and is otherwise very educated, apparently a huge moron though! I just told another one of my co-workers who knows whats going on and her jaw dropped! Just not something you talk about at work.

    I heard that a couple of times last week... and I work in a hospital.  It took a lot of self control to ask if our patients were there because of natural selection, and if our jobs were standing in the way of nature too.

    hypothyroidism, low AMH (0.26)/normal FSH/average AFC of 12

    Him (33): No known issues

    November 2013-March 2014: Natural cycles
    April 2014: Clomid 100mg and Ovidrel trigger -- BFN
    May 2014: Clomid 100mg and Ovidrel trigger -- BFN
    July 2014:  IVF class -- Check!
    Holy crap.  Unmedicated BFP 7.22.14.  EDD 4.01.15.
    Best April Fool's Day ever!
    Now on Lovenox, prenatals, Vitamin D,
    Folic Acid, and Synthroid.
    Please be our take home baby.
