Any lettuce/cabage eaters?!

Ok so my weird little eater became a little weirder this week....lol.  Used to Paige would eat ANYTHING and then she got VERY picky.  So Tuesday night we had some cole slaw.  I offered her a bite and she looked at me like I was a crazy woman!  Then she bent down and kind of licked the bowl of cole slaw like a dog....lol.  (yes that is my girl!) and decided she wanted to try it. I couldn't feed her fast enough!  SHE LOVED IT!  Then last night I had a horrible headache so we got Subway and she was begging me for  a bite - so I gave her a bite - not taking the lettuce off - in hopes she would eat her food and not mine...lol - and again she ate the lettuce like it was her favorite food in the world!...lol.  SILLY GIRL!  Anyone else have a DC that will eat lettuce and cabbage???!

I don't think it is her fave either but in the past if I gave her lettuce on a sandwich she would eat the meat and bread and pull the lettuce out of her mouth....lol.

  • ds likes cucumber a lot! and sometimes he'll eat lettuce also, he for the most part is not a picky eater and likes most of the food we eat :)
  • Never tried it!  But she only has 4 teeth.
  • She's never had cabbage except in a an eggroll - I'm allergic. But I've tried giving her lettuce many times and she just doesn't "get" it. She has no idea how to chew it. She chews and chews and then spits it out.

I'm so worried that one day DD is going to become a picky eater. She really isn't one now and will eat pretty much anything. I don't know what I'll do if she just stops eating!

  • At school they serve lettuce roll ups with ranch dressing and this lunch meat mix up inside. He loves it. I made it at home and he will eat like there of them.

He also loves pickles and olives all of a sudden too. Must be another treat at school.

  • yeh, Carson has yet to hit the picky phase.  i am crossing my fingers on that one but one day i decided to boil a couple of brussell sprouts and cut them up for him and he started shoveling it in by the handfuls......my strange child.
  • Ever since DS turned 2 yrs old, one of his favorite meals is salad with ranch dressing .  He also loves ceasar salad.
  • I'm not a big salad eater. Jack loves salad. He'll eat an entire bowl of salad. It can have Italian, ranch, balsamic, etc... He likes it all. Oh brussels sprouts. He thought they were broccoli the first time I made them and gobbled them up. I didn't have a chance to get them out of the roasting pan before he was asking for bokkly. He now knows they are brussels sprouts. He loves both black and green olives and has eaten almost an entire jar of pickles this week. Thank goodness he is unlike my husband.
  • Dylan has always loved salads - complete with cucumbers, tomato, carrots, and celery (all cut super small).

I think it's beyond odd but I'm certainly not complaining.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
