is 6 ozs too much for a 9 week old to take??

No- mine will be 7 weeks on Sat. Sometimes he'll take 3 oz and an hour later, he'll want more and I'll give him another 1-2 oz.

My 3 month old takes about 3 - 4 oz when he takes pumped breast milk so that seems like a lot to me.

Think it depends on the baby. Carter was taking about 4-5 oz at that time. Now he is taking 6-8 oz. He's still in the 25% so I'm not tooo worry about it. If he's hungry feed him, maybe make larger bottles and see if he can go longer between them... instead of 6 a day go 5 a day. Or I learned if I fed Carter more during the day he STTN. Good luck.

It's fine! My friends baby started taking 6 oz the day he came home from the hospital! I tried to tell her he shouldn't have that much (based on what we learned in BFing classes) but she called her pedi and he said that if that's what he wants and isn't throwing up afterward then its fine. Turned out he happened to be one of those babies who liked to eat more, less often, and STTN very early on!

My baby takes 6 oz. at most feedings. I was worried that I was over feeding him, but the pedi said babies know when to stop and to feed him until he is satisfied

No way. My little guy was taking 5-6oz at that time too. Feed him, he's hungry!
