This isn't necessarily a problem, but I have no idea what to feed him. He won't eat much other than peas, cheese, and most fruits. I worry he's not getting any protein. He does get yogurt. I tried some cottage cheese tonight but that did NOT go over well at all!
What do you feed your child if you don't eat meat??
Re: baby won't eat meat!
Have you tried beans?
E isn't a big fan of meat (but she does like turkey meatballs) but she likes beans- black beans, kidney beans, black eyed peas.
I should start using the dried beans we have but I have given her the ones from a can- BPA I know, I know.
also--have you tried re-introducing the foods he doesn't like? i read somewhere that it can take up to 12 times of tasting for a baby to accept a new taste/texture. just keep offering a little bit of what you want him to eat, that might help.
I've tried making eggs every way I know how- he won't even try to eat them! He'll wipe them off table or take them off his plate. He's the pickiest eater for me! I'm going to ask the daycare how they feed him because he supposedly eats great there!
I'll try some beans tomorrow. I have some black beans so we'll start with those. Thanks ladies- I'm no where near nutritionally educated as I should be I think
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
Tofu is a wonderful source of protein. DD just eats it cubed as if it were cheese (open package, cut off a slice, cube it, serve it).
You can also put some of it in a blender and use it to make a smoothie.
Have you tried serving him edemame (soy beans)? They come frozen and you can get them shelled so you just boil them for a few minutes and serve. They're kind of pea-like so maybe he'll try them.
