WTH? Brown spotting at 11.5 weeks

in 1st Trimester

I just found the baby's hb on our home doppler today, and now I just went to the bathroom and had quite a bit of brown spotting/discharge stuff. Nothing pink or red, but a LOT of brown.Stringy brown stuff, too.

I plan to call my doc in the am, but thoughts? I totally thought I was out of the woods, but now I am back to feeling terrified and helpless. :-(

    Oh and there has been no sex, no u/s, no pelvic exams, nothing that any may have caused the spotting. There has been action down there whatsoever.

    Brown means it's old right? You should be good but obviously call the doc in the morning.

    I had the same brown spotting. When I went to the Dr. she said she could literally see an old blood clot up there, likely from my last period, and that it may dislodge at some point and more would come but not to freak out. She said it very common. I noticed the spotting after sex but she made me feel better about. Hopefully its the same thing. God luck though.

    brown is usually o.k. ?i had brown clots a week ago and freaked out. ?got an ultrasound that day and baby was fine. i ended up having some fluid in my cervix.

    If my memory serves from 1st tri, brown spotting can happen as your uterus starts to grow.  Old blood from past periods that has been lodged in crevices gets worked out and discharged.  But if it concerns you, call your doctor.
