Is your baby underweight? What does your pediatrician say?
If a baby is gaining weight and your pedi isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry too much about weight gain. Most babies will self regulate and eat the appropriate amount for them. Forcing a baby to eat does not sound like a good idea to me.
If your baby's weight gain is a concern, discuss it with your pediatrician. He/she will know the situation and have better reco's than the women on this board.
My DD was EBF until 8 months and still get bm she is in the 10% for weight so that is pretty low. My Pedi said to just keep feeding her until she stops she will let you know. Don't force it and only be concerned if she isn't eating and drinking enough to produce wet and poopy diapers. Some babies are going to be the chubby rolly polly babies. Talk to your dr if they are concerned they will tell you about formula to add weight etc.

I meant some are not going to be to rolly.... sorry. Also my dtr hasn't gained weight since 9 month and I asked dr and he said that is is normal for them to have a weight plateau. I agree w/ pp about avocado etc.
We had the same problem with our DD who is BF. We added three meals a day and like the PP said, fed her until she didn't want anymore. She really likes avocado and banana. GL!
DS had this issue. He now has two cubes of avocado a day, plus 3 cubes of another solid mixed with a supplement called polycose that contains extra calories. If your pedi is concerned ask for a referral to a nutritionist and they can give you more information.

Pull out a big ole' tub of Crisco with a side of bacon and let her go to town.
Disclaimer: I am joking. You are insane.
All PP's--See her post below about her 8 month old not gaining weight.
Avocados have a high fat and calorie content. They are a great food to add into the diet. Whole milk yogurt has also helped DS gain weight.
Do you mean 3 BF meals a day, or 3 solids meals a day? If you mean BF meals, that doesn't sound like nearly enough.

Bacon. Who doesn't love bacon?
Seriously...you ask the most random and strang questions. I still think you have to be a troll or an AE. Actually...I really hope you are.

What about offering to BF more frequently?
Have you tried adding snacks (fruit, cheerios, puffs, cheese, etc.) between meals?
