  • It's not just 1st tri, darlin'. It's the bump in general.

You can say PG or join babygaga, they looooooove that word.

  • It's not just first tri. It's a whole bump thing. I personally have never been offended by the term but I understand those who are. So it's a big no no here. I just say pg.

  • Personally I just don't like "preggo" or "preggers".

  • 2nd and 3rd Tri seem to agree on no "prego" usage as well. I usually just type pg - I've seen others do it quite often too.
  • Oh I usually just say PG on here too... I guess I just dont get it...

I am just happy God gave us the chance to be pg, preggo, or PREGNANT again after last years loss so I dont care how it is put!! Smile

I agree. It's everywhere. It doesn't offend me but I find it mildly irritating/annoying.

  • personally none of the little sayings bother me but to each their own.

  • I personally don't like Prego/Preggers, but it doesn't bother me if someone else uses it.

Although, I really don't get it when people say they use "preggers" as a short form of pregnant when it has the same number of letters and the same number of syllables.

    Arent they precious??

  • I don't see what the big deal is.... The way I see it is if you don't like it just ignore it, or in your mind, replace the word prego with pregnant when you are reading the post.  I think some of those girls just like to get everything all fired up.

I assume for some people that when they see or hear those terms, it affects their impression of the person using them. You often see people say prego and preggers are "childish" terms so I think it makes some people feel that the poster using them is childish or immature...which then affects the way communication occurs within the post thread.

  • Prego, Preggie, Preggers and all derivatives annoy me.  I'm not a 14 year old high school student who got knocked up at homecoming

Ditto. I'm not offended by them. They just annoy me.

  • I use it to describe myself. And I'll continue to do so. Devil
  • I don't care. My DH calls me preggers sometimes, and prego-butt. I think whatever term you want to use is fine. People shouldn't get in a tiff about a nickname.
  • I just don't like it bc it's like being called a spaghetti sauce.  The others don't bother me near as much.

My husband's personal favorite is pregosaurus rex, which is just a little too cute to be annoying!
