Baby room? Yes or No?

Ok ladies...feed my neurosis....do you have a room set up for baby already? Meaning, do you have a room set aside that you know is supposed to be your nursery? We know what room we plan to use for our nursery but I currently have my eliptical & work clothes in there, along with some other junk. I keep going back & forth about whether I should empty that room out or not.Part of me thinks I should...some kind of positive vibe thing maybe? Making room for baby? Thoughts? Feel free to tell me I am losing it!

Of course we know what room we will use...but no I have not cleaned it out because it is our guest room for now and it will stay that way until I am pregnant and ready to do a nursury.

we know it will be the guest room, and we have slowly started to clean out the closet and dressers, but it will remain a guest room until the last possible second! my husband is going to refinish the furniture so he's slowly working on that project.

Yes, we know which room, it is currently our guest room that I actually de-did not to long ago because I was tired of "waiting to get pregnant" ?. ?I wanted the room to look nice.

If I get PG, then we will turn it into a nursery.?

We moved into a house that already had a room decorated for a nursery - specifically a really cute mural that we both love. We have been using it as our guest room, but it definitely looks like a kids room already!

We definitely know what room will be the nursery. After my first BFP, I went nuts looking at all the stuff I was going to buy and starting cleaning out the room. When I m/c'd, it was so hard to even open the door to that room.

In an effort to protect my sanity, I've decided to leave the nursery until the last second. But that's just me.

And BTW, you're not losing it

We have a choice of 3 rooms! Thought about cleaning out things, but didn't want to jinx anything beforehand....

We know which guest room we'll use, but there's no way I'm going to set it up before being pregnant. ?It's dumb superstition, partly, but I can't do it.?

I am actually thinking the exact same thing. I feel kind of weird making a baby room now. What if It doesnt take, than I have this baby room to look at that will make me depressed. I am not sure either.

Hmmm...well....I dont know. We already have a guest room set up so this is really a "spare" room. DH would probably think I was jumping the gun by clearing it out. Maybe I will mention it and see what he says....Dont worry though, I am just thinking about emptying the room out, not actually setting up a nursery!

We live in a 2-bedroom house, so it's obvious which room will be the baby's. But MH wants to buy a desk and I keep saying no because hopefully that room will be full of baby furniture.

We live in a 2br condo and the 2nd br is DH's office. He in graphic design and outside of his full time gig, he does freelance. So... we're about to put the condo on the market and buy a 3+br home since we have no room for baby right now. We've been superstitious to start looking too soon, but with the market getting worse and we're into IVF now, I feel like we can't wait any longer. Hopefully our condo sells!

I have an empty room for the nursery... there is nothing in it. DH and I bought a new house for a baby and we're still waiting for it to happen. It actually makes me a bit sad and I rarely go in there, but it's nice knowing it's there waiting.

I am weird. I think it is the superstitious Irish - Catholic thing. I feel like if I do anything like that I will jinx myself. Other people look at that as the power of positive thinking. Just depends on how you are going to handle it mentally.

We live in a one bedroom place so we have figured out where we are most likely going to move when the time comes. It is my old pre-_DH house in a near by town.

We do but it's only because my sister is due any day now and I'll be watching the little guy 2 days a week. I am totally happy for the new addition to the family but it's been hard lately since 1. this baby was an accident and 2. we had been trying when they found out they were pregnant and 3. we just discovered IF problems. At first I just closed the door and didn't even want to look at the room but now I'm dealing with it. If it weren't for my nephew we wouldn't have the room set up as a nursery.
