I've been craving sugar but have been trying really hard to resist.
I ate the entire pack of starbursts today though (I usually try to eat 1/2 one day and the rest the next). I know it's dumb, but I feel guilty, even though I eat healthily most of the time.
Re: How much candy/sweets/dessert do you eat a day?

Baby BOY!
Ditto. One of our parents made brownies today, and I never got one and almost cried.
I have a sweet tooth too. I can easily pack a couple homemade cupcakes away at a sitting! I allow myself to eat sweets but not artificial colored/sweetened ones, if that makes sense. Like I would choose a few pieces of chocolate over gummy bears (even though I LOVE gummies) or I would eat a bowl of ice cream over an artificially flavored popsicle.
If you are not at risk for gestational diabetes and are eating an otherwise rounded diet I would not worry. Just try to limit the portions but if you crave a sweet then enjoy it!
I love to eat chocolate every day! I eat a few kisses (like 10), and have some starburst's as well.
I drink alot of water (if it helps to stay healthy) as well!

Rainbow babies:In addition to regular food, I usually have half a grapefruit with a tsp. of sugar sprinkled on top. A glass of Newman's lemonade. I am just starting in on 3 Keebler M&M cookies. I usually have a scoop of ice cream after dinner. And if I come across a piece of chocolate, I'll eat it.
I normally don't eat a lot of sweets but today I ate some dibs (and I ate some yesterday) and a small ice cream from DQ. And I think I am going to have some skitles... and maybe some fun dip...
I've been on a 2 servings a day kick (usually right before and right after lunch. Nice, huh?) Most of the time it's 2 cupcakes, but recently I had a 2 chocolate croissant day that was wonderful...
Wait - do we count Lucky Charms as dessert? Because then you have to add another serving (or sometimes 2). This isn't good.

I haven't gone one day without at least one or two sweets- usually a piece of dark chocolate after lunch and small bowl of ice cream at night. Sometimes more, but never less! I otherwise eat pretty healthy, so hopefully it all balances out!
I count Lucky Charms as sweets, but I could be weird. I'm not going to eat my bowl tonight after dinner because of the starbursts. I bargain with myself all the time. "If I don't eat the starbursts, I can have a bowl of lucky charms." or "If I eat these poptarts now, no dessert tonight".
Umm...
::sneaks another chocolate out of the box::
I haven't always had a sweet tooth this pregnancy, but lately I'm always craving something sugary
I crave tart/sour candy so I usually have a couple of chewy sweet tarts a week. Plus a banana split a week (it's fruit right, that makes it healthy!!!)
I have more trouble resisting the cravings for fried food than the sweets.

i've always had a huge sweet tooth, even pre-pregnancy...but at this point i'm not really eating any more sweets than i did pre pg...a piece of chocolate a day after dinner, a bowl of ice cream one weekend night, and a cake-type dessert the other weekend night...
Well so far today I had a 20 oz Grape Soda; a 16 oz decaf iced mocha, a maple bar, a half of a butterfinger and like 9 red vines. DAMN I didnt think I was doing too bad until I just read what i wrote. SH*T
I have waited my whole life to be pregnant and be able to eat ice cream daily without feeling guilty. Even though Ive grown up since this dream started and realized that packing on the pounds isnt a great idea, I am enjoying sweets whenever & wherever I want them (especially ice cream). I may regret it later when I cant get off the extra few pounds, but like I said I have waited a long time for this so its okay!
Crossing my fingers my OGTT goes well when I go in for it!
