Hi ladies,

I'm wondering if your LO can sit unassisted yet? If so, when did they start and how long can they stay balanced before falling over? Thanks!

    My LO is 5 1/2 months old and cannot sit unassisted for more than a few seconds. I thought this was normal but could be wrong

    DS started sitting unassisted at 3 1/2 months, granted it only lasted between 1-2 minutes. Now he can sit for about 5-6 minutes on his own and if the boppy pillow is behind him he can sit for much longer. He likes his new found freedom! Here he is just at 4 months.(if it will work I am attempting to PIP)

    4.5 months here, and he is not.  Unless you count having both hands on the floor and/or being completely folded over so he's eating his feet. (But technically, he's on his butt.  I don't think it counts, though.)

    DS is not sitting unassisted yet.  However, I can tell that it is getting closer to happening.

    DD just started to sit on her own. She can only do it for maybe a minute without falling over. Every baby is different so I wouldn't worry to much about it. She still isnt rolling from her back to her tummy but can sit, we dont get it! It will happen when they are ready!

    My DD can't yet- I can tell she's getting closer to being able to, but she definitely can't yet.

    Not quite.  She can make it a few minutes if there's something in front of her that she's playing with, but she falls over as soon as she stops playing

    Ben started sitting unassisted at 4 months old.  He can sit and play indefinitely on his own now without falling over.  BUT, he still doesn't roll over!  I keep waiting, but nope.  He doesn't roll at all.  He does weigh 21 lbs, though.  Maybe that has something to do with it?  That's a lot of weight to flip over!

    DD can for a few seconds. I think she would be able to better but there is too much going on around her & she wants to get into everything!
