AW! Look What I Made! PIP!
Today, I tried out dying wool w/ Easter Egg coloring (I have 10+ boxes I bought after Easter last year for $.10/ea.) I made the soaker w/ neutral yarn, and dip-dyed it in blue and green. I'm VERY happy! My model will have to model after it's dry and he's awake.

Did you just dip and dry like an easter egg, or did you do anything special to prep the yarn and seal the dye? I'd be afraid my next load of laundry would be green...

did you do anything different to make the size different? the pattern says it's for daytime use- do daytime soakers really serve a purpose? oh, and how do you sew up the sides? that's the only part i was confused about (so far).
i'm only asking because i'm going to attempt to use that pattern.

The size of needles you use will increase or decrease the size. Make a swatch to get an idea of how many stitches per inch your knitting for that needle size and adjust from there. I'm making him soakers to wear as shorts for summer. I'm also making shorties, but I wanted to make a couple soakers for the warm weather too.
