Okay, so I've gone though three (3) boxes of lansinoh nursing pads in 4 weeks. I have to change them at EVERY FEEDING because they are soaked through.
(yes, you just did the math right. That's a lot of pads.)
Any recommendations on washable or reusable nursing pads? Cause this is bound to get very expensive!
(I used the lilypads before and they don't work for me at all... I leak right through the bottom of them.)
Re: Holy Leakage, Batman! Help, please!
I used the Lansinoh pads for a while, then switched to the Gerber washable ones. So much more economical!
If we lived closer, I'd give you the huge value box of Lansinoh pads that I have left.
try lilypads...I have friends who swear by them. They kinda suction to you...so you have to have a burp rag to catch the milk when you take them off.
Have you tried pumping after nursing to get the rest of the milk out? That might be easier than going through lots of pads.
I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I used panty liners when I got tired of spending money on nursing pads. I just cut one in half. The outline can show through if you're wearing a thin bra or shirt, but it worked for me.
I tried the panty liner trick. I leaked through in one feeding (the side that isn't being fed on during let-down...). It was soaked and all over my shirt. So sad!
Moo.
LOL. Sorry to laugh...I just remember those days. Hope you figure something out!
