I'm scared. Is this mold on my BGs?!

And will there be a mushroom at some point?!?!

I'm embarrassed to even post this here, but here goes...I noticed tiny, tiny, tiny black specks on the suedecloth in one of DD's BGs the other day while I was putting away her clean diapers. I didn't think much of it honestly. Maybe more of the brown lint that I had found on the microfiber or whatever. Well, I'm washing her dipes now and as I dumped them into the washer, there are a few on some of her other BGs too. Is that what that is?!?!

I've never noticed it before Sunday. I do laundry every 3rd day. It is NOT hot here yet. Should I be doing it every other day?

I'm scared.

I will PIP when the dipes come out of the laundry. I need opinions.

    AHHHH!! ?We have that in one of our BG's too - please please please let the answer be no! ?We wash every 2-3 days and it's definitely not hot here. ?I'll be awaiting your PIP. ?=(

    I bet it is something in your dryer. We got some spots on a load of pillowcases and canvas bags I washed a while ago. It turned out that DH had left a pen in his pocket. Most of the ink was in the pen/pants pocket that the pen was in, but some of it got in the dryer and then on my stuff.

    I doubt it's mold if you're washing at least 2x a week. But if you're worried you can toss in a 1/4C. of bleach (the FAQs on bumgenius.com say it's ok to do like once a month)

    Have you used any rash cream with them?  Sometimes when I use cream on DD, even with a liner, her diapers end up with gray/black stains.  Aveeno particularly does this to us.

    Oh, crap. I bet that's it. Yes, we use Aveeno and we've been using a LOT lately b/c of DD's persistent rash. I do use liners but I know some of it gets on the dipes b/c it's nearly impossible to really smear it on without some of it getting out.

    I'm going to go with this explanation anyway. Sounds reasonable.
