2nd Trimester

I can't feel anything! Whaaaaa.....

I am 20 weeks!  I know, everyone is different- but I read how people @ 20 and 21 weeks feel her flip around, or Dh can see.  All I feel is a 'muscle twitch' here and there.  That's her right?  The u/s tech couldn't even keep up with her she was moving so much- but I can't feel it.

Crying  It'll come, right??

Re: I can't feel anything! Whaaaaa.....

  • It will come! At 21w my sil was still barely feeling flutters. Like you said, everyone is different.

  • I'm in the same boat -- I just keep telling myself that the less I feel it now, the shorter time I'll feel it more painfully as we get closer and closer to EDD and he runs out of room!
  • I didnt feel definite movement until 23 almost 24 weeks. Chances are you are feeling them slightly but mistaking it for gas or something. You will feel them soon enough!

  • it'll come.  :) everyone is different... maybe this will make you feel better.  my OB told me she didn't feel her daughter until 24 weeks!  and she was embarrassed because she's an OB!  she said she thought she knew what she was feeling for and trying to feel but nope... nothin until 6 months. :)

  • Don't worry...yes we're all different :)  I can feel baby all the time but when we had our big u/s she/he was hardly moving at all...see it's different for everyone!
  • I could have written this exact same post!  I'm at the point now where I actually think I'm imaganing things.  Do you have an anterior placenta?  That may have something to do with it.  Wink

  • It really wasn't until I hit 22wks, that I could really feel kicking and stuff.  Now it's all the time!

The muscle twitch is probably a flutter that other people describe.
