I'm 12 weeks as of Sunday (yay!) but I think it's interesting that you pretty much cannot tell that I'm pregnant yet. I'm normally a sz 14 girl and my bbs aren't exactly small, so it's not like I was expecting a cute little preggo belly from the start. But personally I can't wait until I start to pop out (versus just looking kinda fat right now).
DH was telling me that there are 2 people at his work that are 14 weeks and definitely showing. I tried to explain that it really depends on your body shape before pregnancy and that everyone is different. So back me up here - when did you really start to show?
Re: ? - so when did you start to "show"
I am on the "fluffier" side, so with my first pregnancy I didn't really start to show until somewhere between 17-19 weeks. I was able to avoid telling work about my pregnancy till about 17 weeks and the only reason I did it then is because my body would have made it obvious. I will say even then some people probably thought I was just putting on weight. By about 22 weeks, it was an obvious pregnancy belly.
This time around, it's going to happen much sooner. I can already tell I'm going to pop out a good month sooner if not more. I'm only 9 weeks but it's not going to be long.
Make sure you post belly pics when you get that cute belly!

But apparently my mom was the same way, showing really early. So maybe ask your mom, it may be similar.
BTW - I was also a sz 14 pre-pg. It was probably close to 16 weeks before people noticed I had a "bump", and didn't just look like I'd gotten fat.
My first preg. i did show until about 20 weeks... this time i had a belly by about 14 weeks
14 weeks with parker
and 24 weeks with rylee
DD #1: 24 weeks or so
DS #2: 18 weeks or so
DS #3: (this time around) I was "showing" immediately from the time I found out I was pregnant because of all the IVF bloat
Seriously, your ovaries get huge and it makes you look 4 months pregnant from the very beginning. I would say the bloat belly turned into baby belly around 16 weeks.
I remember waiting to pop, too...otherwise you just look thick!
I started wearing maternity clothes around 14 weeks but I didn't get comments, etc. from strangers until closer to 18 or 19 weeks.
I started needing maternity pants at 16 weeks or so; shirts later than that. I was 6 months preggo and my high school students had no clue. Granted I had a student teacher at the time and wasn't in front of them much at all, but I wound up telling them. I really don't think anyone noticed until I was near the end of my 2nd trimester or early into my third. I carried very long as DS was tall (21.5 inches), and I was a little chunky to begin with (size 14/16).
My MIL commented at Mother's Day that I was finally starting to look pregnant. I was 25-26 weeks at that point. I KNOW at my u/s @ 20 weeks I didn't look pregnant. That is, of course, if you don't count the boobs which grew by 3 cup sizes almost immediately.
