Babies: 9 - 12 Months

My cats are jerks.

First of all, one of them pooped (a lot) outside of the litterbox this morning, thusly stinking up the entire house (that was mostly DH's fault because he only put about 1/2 inch of litter in their box). So, I spent 30 minutes picking up cat poop and then scrubbing the carpet, all while DS was fussing downstairs.

Now, I just got DS down for his morning nap 30 minutes ago, and now my jerkface cats are running around upstairs, closing doors (yes, they do that) and generally making a racket. I just know they're going to wake up DS. If I could put them on timeout, they'd be there all day. Ugh.

Re: My cats are jerks.

  • I feel that!

Last night mine had what I like to call Cat Madness at about midnight. They sound like freakin' mini elephants at that time of night grrrrrr.

  • I was just going to post about how damn annoying one of my cats is being.  He likes to pee wherever he wants (cool it, Pets board, he's been checked by the vet many times and is apparently just half-dumb) and he peed on Jude's toys today.  AWESOME!  Then he ran around meowing, as usual, when I was trying to get Jude to nap.
  • I hear ya! I love our cats but they need some timeout too!

Our one cat likes to sit on our master bath bathroom counter and scratch at the mirror...at 3am.  I'd just close the door but then she'd just scratch at the door.  They like to scratch at DD's closed door overnight too.  They woke her up the other morning.  I'm forced to barricade her door with pillows so they can't get near it.

DD STTN now, but my cats won't let us!

  • Ugh.  But I did LOL at your kitty time out.

We have 3 cats.  At 4:00am, one of them found one of those cat toy balls and it sounded like they were having a rave downstairs in my living room.
