This is my third pregnancy and I always seem to have a complication of some kind, it's extremely frusterating! I just found out I failed my 1 hour glucose test . . .so I tried to take the three hour got through 45 minutes and puked all over . . . so now I have to take classes at the hospital and learn how to eat and take my own blood sugar . . . . I DON"T UNDERSTAND!!!!
I'M SO FRUSTERATED!!! I've always been what I consider a healthy eater and this whole pregnancy I've been nothing but sick, I've actually only gained 12 pounds . . . and the lady on the phone that made my appointment for the classes treated me like ***, she treated me like I was an over weight person that deserved diabetes---- I'm not kidding I was judged over the phone and I'm offended she litterally reminded 6 times no matter how hungry I am I need to follow the 2000 calorie a day diet . . .
I just don't get it WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
Re: gestational diabetes
gd is bc of your placenta, not you
What a wench! I would so write a strongly worded letter! I hate that kind of abuse of power.
I'm trying to lower my gluten intake. Maybe we can get a couple of posts going on low carb low gluten meals/snacks/tricks?
You did absolutely nothing wrong.
The levels of hormones in your body and the way your body processes them changes during pregnancy. That alone can interfere with how glucose is processed.
It's not about you doing something wrong, but catching and treating gd is important for your health and your baby's health.
