so, my nephew's baptism is set for this weekend and neither my hubby or I are going. (she planned this after we already had other plans)... and I need to get her/him something really cool as a gift.
and on that note... tell me I am not a horrible person.
Jason already had plans to go to matagorda with his friends (8 of them are all going) and I had made other plans for Kreeper to come up and see me. So, Jason said since it would be a long drive by myself with a toddler and I had made other plans, I didn't have to go... so I said okay.
Well, he then didn't TELL my inlaws that Joe and I weren't coming and MIL had to call last night to ask if I was coming and DH got mad at me that I hadn't called to RSVP.
Now I am feeling crummy... like I should be going. But, many of you know my history with my sister in law... and my own husband, her brother, isn't going.
You aren't a horrible person. I pretty much have a rule that if it's an event for one of DH's family members, if he doesn't attend then I don't either. The gift you chose is lovely!
What about a picture frame with his name and the date of his baptism engraved on it (like from things Remembered). then they can put a picture of it in there and keep it up in his room.
