and the first beta results are in......

189 @ 15dpo.  With my last chemical pregnancy I was at 105 @15dpo and then it dipped down to 89 on the second beta 48 hrs later.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic but i just know that's its the SECOND beta results that really count.  

So what do you guys think?  I'm afraid i'm going on my third chemical pregnancy but I just don't let myself get excited anymore.  Embarrassed  I got my bfp @13 dpo

    There is a woman on another board who had a first beta of 9... she is still pregnant and the baby is doing fine. Try to not be so pessimistic. You are pregnant...enjoy it.

    *sigh* thanks ladies.. Chemical pregnancies are a pain in the ass and they are sneaky little f*ckers.  They try to trick you so you can get happy and then BOOM you get a negative pregnancy test a couple of days later.  Then that beyotch AF  comes knocking soon after..

    I've been following your posts and I'm praying for you.  You and I got our BFP's 2 days apart. I know it sounds like I'm being pessimistic but I've learned not to pay attention to how high the number is at first.   I pray that your beta doubles because that is what really counts.   I tested at 10 dpo and I was negative.  I retested on 13 dpo and lo and behold , it was positive. I'm also on prometrium!

    My next beta is on Thursday.  I'll keep you posted!!!

    Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I guess you can tell I'm freaking out a bit. My next draw is on Thursday as well so I will be thinking about you as well! (and is the prometrium making you sleepy as all get out? Holy crap! I almost fell asleep in a meeting!)

     Prometrium gets you extremely sleepy and I'd hate to say but I've gained 6 lbs on it already (been taking it since i O'D).  As soon as you're off it, the weight comes off.  At first, I used to get a little nausea but then it went away.  I try to not take it if I know I'm going to drive somewhere.  It gets me THAT sleepy.
