washing face after meals - sensitive skin

What do you use to wash dc's face after solids?  We've been using wipes, but her face is breaking out.  I don't know if it's the wipes or dryness or food...but I wanted to see what others used.  Maybe I'm not supposed to use wipes at all.

Thanks!

  • I only use water and then aquaphot. Her skin seems always to break out if I don't do it.

  • I just wet a paper towel with water...DS has super sensitive skin and is allergic to a lot of things...If you didn't want to wast paper towels just use a wash cloth.

  • My son has some crazy sensitive skin that is eczema and infection prone. We can usually get away with us sensitive skin wipes. You can also use a wet paper towel or wash cloth.

  • I have quite a few baby washcloths that I just leave in the kitchen, use one for each meal - wipe his face, hands and high chair and then throw it in the wash.  You can also pick up some super cheap material at a fabric store and cut that up into little washcloths.  Probably cost only $1-2 and I'm sure you could get some cute designs if you looked.

I just use tap water as a baby wipe would irritate his face with the alcohol, chemicals, etc.

  • I just take her into the bathroom and rub her hands under the water and then put water on my hand and rub it on her face.  Works great, we don't waste any wipes/paper towels/napkins and she has fun looking in the mirror.
