We have a lot of talented photographers on our board and a lot of super cute kids. I had a thought - how about a photography GTG? Bring your kids, any props, do your makeup and you can have photos of your kid, with your kid, whatever. Any photographers willing to join in are more than welcome (Karen, Virginia, Stacey....???) if they can't make it you have me. I'm not a pro or anything but I'm pretty handy and have fab lenses. What do you think? Any takers? I am happy to open my house or meet at a park. I'm aiming for Thursday, February 26th. I'm in Boca.
Re: "Photography GTG"

That's an awesome idea, too bad I probably will either still be on bedrest, julian will have just arrived or will be arriving. hopefully you can do it again at a later time.
Oooh, fun idea Dawn!! It looks like a lot of people can't make it that day though?? Maybe we can find a better day? I am definitely in... I am not too busy for the rest of the month so I'm up for it and would love to increase my portfolio of childrens photos since I'm actually about to break my website apart and put the kids stuff on one section and the boudoir stuff in another site (yeah... kind of weird to have both on one site, eh?? LOL!!).
Just let me know when and I would love to join in!!!

Me too. It also depends on the house situation, we may be moving around that day and things maybe hectic. If I can make it, I will be bring my best gear!
Same here! Except I probably can do something on a Wednesday or Friday too since those days I work from home.
I hate to always be the voice of legality (I am pretty serious about business stuff though and do a lot of research and a little consulting for friends, so it always ends up being me) but I just want to remind everyone that every photographer has their own ways of working with free shoots.
You will probably have to sign a model release (I always do) and depending on the photographer you may or may not get high res files for free, and may instead get things like low res files (web only/non printable) or a hefty discount on prints.
Everyone runs their business in their own way that works for them so I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware that every photographer is going to be different on their terms.
