Graco PNP - Newborn Napper Station??

https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3417592

Does anyone have one with this? ?We don't need it now but if we are replacing the pnp and plan on more kids - this seems like a cool feature. ?I just wonder is it really safe for babies to sleep in - SIDS, padding/cushion/bumpers/breathing etc??

  • I think I perfer the "old school" bassinet -- just the "raised" crib.  You know?  I'd be concerned about all the squishiness, like you mentioned.

  • When babies are truly newborn, as in, like the first week or two, I would think I might use this feature.  But the nanosecond the baby can turn their head on their own I would get rid of it.  And that comes fairly quickly so it would pretty much be a waste for us.

We just use the bassinet feature on our very plain, no frills Evenflo PNP.  I can see about 4 things in that picture that I would never use.

  • it would make me nervous i think.  i love the raised bassinet part of our graco pnp.
  • we have a second hand PNP that is the bare bones minimum and it was great for Avery when she was just new born - we have a bassinet in the bedroom that she slept in at night.

If I was to buy one, I would have bought one wiht the changing station though - it was hard on our lower back to bend over to change her

I have never used the changing station.  Maybe if/when I ever take it out of my house I would use it, but as a "second bed" for DS, I never use that feature.
