Snarky and T-TTC

They moved the u/s for me

It's now Feb 26 (7w1d) instead of March 4 (8w)

That makes me feel a little bit less anxious. Someone tell be to calm down, BTW?  I should be happy.  Instead I've become neurotic, constantly worried that something will go terribly wrong.

Re: They moved the u/s for me

  • I am so glad they moved it.  You don't want one any earlier than that or you might not be able to see anything, which would cause unneeded worry.  Relaxing is just as hard after you are KU as it was when you were TTC.  Try to keep yourself busy.

  • i was the same way!

my 1st u/s was at 7 weeks & we saw the gest sac, baby, yolk sac, heartbeat & heard the heartbeat. it was such a relief!

    good luck!

  • I am glad they moved it for you!

It's normal to stress and worry. Especially after all you have been through. Just try to take it one day at a time, and know that the worry doesn't protect you from anything, rather just prevents you from experiencing the joy and happiness you so deserve.

I feel very positive for you, and can't wait until your u/s!

  • I'm glad they moved it for you.

  • girl, I understand 100%.   I had an u/s with the RE at 5w5d and even saw the heartbeat.   Then had to wait 4 full weeks until 10w for my next appointment.    Those 4 weeks were so hard.  I seriously was afraid that I wasn't really pg anymore.   I wasn't sick, nothing.  Except for not having AF, I really felt like nothing was going on.

It'll be a huge relief to you when you finally do get in.   I am so happy for you that they were at least able to move it up some!  Hang in there!

  • I'm so happy they moved it up for you. I've never been in your situation, but I can totally see how I would be nervous about everything! It's totally understandable!

Just try (it must be so hard!) to relax and keep a positive attitude!

You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers!

  • Glad you're feeling better about the new date.

It is hard to wrap your head around the fact that you really are pregnant at first!  Even harder to imagine that everything is going well, even when you have no control over it.

Every once in a while I'd use some of SAL's mantra's in the early days.  Dorky and embarassing, but kinda helpful too.  Here's one example.

"Today I am pregnant and I love my baby."

  • Yay, I'm glad they moved it!  And I hear you on the nerves, even though I've already had one u/s.  Now that I've had that one and saw the sac and yolk sac, now I'm nervous that my next one, I won't see the heartbeat.  And then I'm sure I'll be nervous before the next one.  I don't think it's going to end!  lol
