what is it and how does it work?
i'll admit, i would probably never use it as i have r convinced that what i do when i am home durign the day is way more than he does and it's so not true.... but i am really curious about what you do with these points?!? they sound much more valuable than my 100million nest points!
Re: pagas- tell me about this chore draft
Yes, please share.
You list all the household chores on a spreadsheet.
Each of you ranks the chores from a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being something like wipe down countertops and 10 being something like cleaning the cat litter box).
Each chore point value is an average of what we each assigned it.
Then there is a school yard pick for chores.
Let's say I go first and choose cat litter, then C has to pick chores totalling at or near 10 points, whether it be one chore or five. Then he gets to choose a chore and I have to pick chores totalling at or above the chore point value. It goes back and forth until all the chores are drafted. Usually one person has a few extra points, so whatever random chores come up (like this week we realized we forgot to have change lightbulbs) goes to the one with the lower point total.
We do allow trades. C is holding out the hope that I will try and trade lawn mowing.
We usually redo it every 6 months or so to keep it interesting.
