Just ordered Fertilaid

for both DH and me.  We're on cycle #10 right now, and I figured it couldn't hurt.  Renee143 tipped the scales for me (um- AMAZING story, btw!).  So, fingers crossed that I'll be joining that EFF green beans update soon!!

Re: Just ordered Fertilaid

  • Good luck and baby dust to you!! ?I don't know what Fertilaid is, but things we also did during TTC were:

I drank 1-4 glasses of green tea daily leading up to O

    We used Pre-Seed

Good luck to you. ?I know how frustrating TTC can be!!?

Thank you!!  Fertilaid is a vitamin/supplement.  We're trying to stay positive about the whole situation.  While it's VERY frustrating to not be pregnant yet, we know there is a plan!!

  • Good luck!! it took us over 9 months to get pg with DS- what worked for us was taking a break from 'trying' :) I was much more relaxed and DH said it felt a lot less like work ;)

  • Good luck. It took us about a year to conceive DS. I actually got the BFP the day after DH went for his SA. Oddly enough, I figured we were out that cycle because of the timing of things and even then the odds were in favor of it being a girl!
  • I suggest reading the infertility cure and taking charge of your fertility (I'm not saying you are infertile.) both books are incredibly informative. your diet and lifestyle have a lot to do with your fertility. they also talk about herbs, vitamins, TCM and acupuncture.

    good luck!

  • Thanks everyone!!  Yeah- I had to stop charting b/c of the stress.  I still keep track of some things and we're using OPKs now.  But seriously, I was spending hours a night on my chart counting and recounting and looking things up and comparing to other charts, etc...  It was REALLY obsessive/compulsive. So I stopped.  I had to for sanity!!

  • I just wanted to say.. I know what you are going through! DH and I have been trying for about 8 months now and it is frustrating.. we have gone through the SA, urologist, GYN, and are now at a RE. I just finished my first round of Clomid. . . Let me know how the Fertilaid works for you..... *baby dust* Hang in there...

  • Hang in there.  It took us over a year to conceive, 2 rounds of Clomid and finally IUI with injections.  The best thing I did was call an RE after 8 months (despite my GYNOs insistence that we wait a full year).  The RE said I should have called him 2 months sooner, because I was clearly not ovulating regularly and any gyno could see that.

After just the initial consultation I felt better and more relaxed and the "trying" became more fun and less stressful work.  It was nice to know that it was out of my hands, so to speak, and in the hands of a pro.  Here we are now, 18 weeks along.

I also really enjoyed the book The Tao of Fertility.  It talks about alternative medicine and homeopathic ways to open up your body to be more receptive.  My RE was on board with alt. med. and encouraged us to try all avenues.  He said, "Any self respecting doctor in Western Medicine needs to accept the fact that Eastern Medicine has been around for thousands of years longer and therefore has some real merit."
