HSG and Delayed O?

Hi ladies, I posted this on GP but I think few people there have had HSGs so thought I'd try here...

If you've had an HSG and normally have regular cycles, did the HSG delay O the cycle you had it?

I had an HSG on CD8, normally O CD16-18, and here I am now on CD21 w/ a CRAZY chart and no O in sight.

I tried googling but couldn't find much. Thanks.

I had to look back at my charts. Its my 9/01 chart if you wan to look. I oed on CD 16 that cycle and I usually o around CD 14 or 15 so it didn't really delay it.

The cycle I had my HSG (November) was 30 days and I didn't O at all, just a crazy chart. However, I had a cycle like that before (March), so I don't think it was the HSG that caused it.

EastCoast - and those were the only out of wack cycles you had - March and Nov. and you're otherwise usually "regular"?

The cycle I had my HSG was normal o date. The month following was early though.

I had an HSG and it did not delay my O. I have heard that sometimes it messes up your cycle. I'd ask your RE. Good luck!

No. I'm sorry. I missed the part in your OP about normally regular cycles.

My cycles were normal up until March of last year, then they've been alternately anovulatory, very, very long (70+ days) or regular. I actually had hoped that the HSG would get me a normal cycle that month, but it did not.

my "normal" O was CD22. On my HSG cycle it was on CD39. 17 days late.
