Has anyone ever heard of this? I have never heard of this before, but I am invited to a shower that is doing this in addition to the registry gifts. ? The items to put in the wishing well sound an awful lot like registry gifts and/or grocery shopping for them.
I am sort of annoyed by it. ?Can you tell? ?

kitchen gadgets, oven mitts, kitchen towels, envelopes, stamps, paper, batteries, soap, guest towels, night ligths, seed packets, gloves, hand tools, kneeling mat, tea bags, coffee, strainer, filters, luggage ID, crossword puzzles, soduku puzzles, screwdriver, hammer, electrical tape, suntan lotion, water bottle, sunglasses, votive candles, nail polish, yoga cd.
It sounds more like you're building a little survival kit for them for after the baby comes. The items don't sound too bad...I've heard of similar things for bridal showers (honeymoon/wedding kits).
I don't know why the suntan lotion and sunglasses are there though. Maybe it's all for a game of some sort...
That is the strangest thing I have ever heard! Some of it sounds like honeymoon survival stuff, but the rest is definitely registry items. I'd get a couple of cheap seed packets and call it a day.
really weird. i thought you meant baby shower too. but still weird either way. maybe it will be part of a game, but who knows.
are you going? if so, let us know.

I've heard of it, but it's usually a place to drop cash, which I think is even tackier!
If' I'm asked to bring "extras" like that, I cut back on what I'd spend for a shower gift to accommodate the additional cost.
