We just got the Babytrend Sit n Stand Deluxe (or Plus - something like that). It converts from a tandem to a sit n stand. I'm not sure how much longer DD will actually sit in the stroller so I like that this one coverts easily to a sit n stand. My bff has the same stroller for her two kids and she really likes it a lot. It's also pretty reasonably priced.
We ended up with the BOB double jogger. Our single BOB is amazing....absolutely love it. I am not a runner but my hubby is (on occasion ) so that's why we went with the BOB. I love it for walking because it really is a smooth ride and the thing basically self-propels. The wideness takes some getting used to but that would be the case with most side by sides. I personally didn't care for the front/back seating as I felt it was too long and harder to turn corners (I'm the person who would accidentally bump you with my shopping cart). A friend of mine bought that walks alot too (but no running) bought a Baby Jogger City Mini double and is very happy with it. She says it's a little more compact than the BOB and is very easy to fold. Now, I also want a sit 'n stand for use at the mall and getting through the clothes racks but I don't think hubby will let me after spending so much on the BOB. I just figured the BOB would work fine around the mall AND we'd get the added bonus of having a jogger...and the resale value of BOB joggers is pretty good.
Oh, and I have to say that the best thing to do is get out to different baby stores and actually see the strollers in person. I really narrowed down my choices by doing this. The strollers I looked at online and *thought* I'd like totally disappointed me in person.
I love my Bumbleride Indie Twin. It's on the bigger side, but it's moves very easily and has great storage. I couldn't find any in the area to test drive, but the place I ordered from had a 90 day return policy and no restocking fees.
I have not used a double stroller since I am still pregnant with my first, but when I was doing research on strollers, I remember the "strollerqueen" (lady who reviews hundreds of strollers) liked the Mountain Buggy double stroller. I think that the BOB strollers are nice too. My cousin has the Phil and Ted's with the doubles kit and loves it.
