how many people did you invite to your shower?

i wanted to combine my family and friends for one shower and have 4 friends that want to throw a shower. so i suggested that they all do it together (were all friends) but then think that i should have split it in two for two different showers, but i really dont want to and i dont understand the big deal if FOUR of them are doing it. i also am the one that found the place to have it that will hold that many people and its free. so whats the big deal? i have invited 46 but most are out of town family. and really when you get down to it its only gonna be about 25-30 people. am i being unreasonable?

I had three showers... a work shower, friend shower & family shower. My work shower had 20 people, friend shower had 10 and family shower had 30. I think that your number is reasonable as long as the hostesses can host that many people in the location they're throwing it in

I have not had a shower (obviously) but I just threw my sister one 2 weeks ago and there were 37 people! It went really well, if its already being planned the hosts just need to increase the amount of food and gifts. I thought it was going to be crazy with so many people but it really wasnt that much harder.

Like you, I am having one big combined shower. We are inviting about 45 people, but many of those are out of town family who are getting an invite more out of courtesy than an expectation that they will come. In reality, I expect about 20-25 to actually come. I think it's fine.

we had one huge co-ed shower. There were about 130 invited and 75 came. It was held at my parents' home, so it was a bit crowded. It was "supposed" to be an open house, but no one left because everyone wanted to see us open gifts (which we had not originally planned on doing).?

I'm having two; I invited about 20 to the friends and 15 to the family, but I'm not really a fan of big crowds, so that will work out nice for me. I don't think your number is high at all, esp. since you've got the spot for it and everything.

I have about 30 people coming to mine, I don't think that number is too high and if the place you found can accomodate everyone I don't see the problem. GL
