The best thermometer???

I have a digital one I use under Nadia's arm and I don't feel like I'm getting an accurate read...

Anyone have a great thermometer?

(Yes- I am an insane paranoid new mommy. Don't make fun of me)

    i have the digital ear thermometer - its the best!

    mine is from BRAUN we bought it at CVS for $50 - it takes the temp in 2 seconds

    i've also heard the forehead thermometer is just as accurate but more expensive

    Show me a new mommy who's not paranoid!!!!

    I use the digital ear one.  I can't remember the brand name and Alexis is sleeping so I'm not going into her room right now to check!!!  I like it.  I know the Drs say to use a rectal one, but I can't seem to bring myself to do that.

    We have a Safety 1st set (I believe that's the brand) and it came with both a digital therm and ear thermometer. We now use the ear therm. I'll be honest and tell you that I think it sucks. I'll get very different temps from ear to ear. When in doubt I'll just check his temp rectally. I hate doing it but sometimes you just need to know if their temp is 100 vs 103.

    I have the Braun ear one too. It's awesome. For Maia I need something quick cause she squirms like crazy. From what I've read the ear thermometers are very accurate.

    rectal is most accurate. mine is safety first. i was so freaked out to check her bum at first, but it's so easy. she didn't even know i was doing it!

    i agree with Melanie. the rectal is the MOST accurate, and it is what i do with Charlotte everytime!

    Okay- I got the BRAUN!

    (I know rectal is the most accurate- but I just can't bring myself to do it!)
