WWYD? (multiple questions inside)

Ok this is so stupid and I am being completely obsessive, but I need someone to help me make a decision. I stopped bleeding from this last m/c on January 14. I'm supposed to call my RE when I am "a week late" to get provera started. So, I posted a while back asking when that would be since I never have an AF on my own, and the last AF was back in January '08 after clomid. Someone said that I would probably be considered a week late around  February 23 or so. Well, I kind of don't want to wait that long to start provera & DH is really excited to start too.  I am nervous and ready to get started. Does anyone know if there are any risks to starting provera sooner than "a week late"? I am debating on calling my nurse today or tomorrow. She'll probably say, "well are you a week late?" (she  asked me why I tested so early at our last BFP--12dpo/14dp trigger. She even asked, "are you even late"? WHO IN THE HECK DOING FERTILITY TREATMENTS WAITS TILL THEY'RE LATE???) She just usually has weird/slightly smart remarks like that. Makes me feel like she is saying "just do what we tell you to do".

So help me...Call my nurse today or tomorrow? Ask to go ahead and start provera? Also, we are leaving for vaca on April 8 to go to Miami to see DH's family for a week. I am nervous as hell about going if we get pg. Think it will be safe? (we are flying). If we are pg, I'll be on lovenox again.

TIA. You all know I am an obsessibe lunatic. Can you tell my head is in a thousand different places?

Re: WWYD? (multiple questions inside)

  • Call the nurse today and ask her, and decide before you dial that you are not going to be made to feel badly about asking questions of your practitioners. It's her job to answer you, and she shouldn't be a damn grump about it.

  • The only thing that I know about the Provera is that my doctor will do an ultrasound before I do it, because if your lining is not thick enough it will take longer...So if you start earlier it could give you the same result of the later date...  Not sure that is what you were looking for.. I can understand being anxious!
  • that's a toughie, indeed.  There are potential birth defect risks for taking provera, but there's no chance you're pg (is there???).  Like pp, call your nurse and ask her opinion, but be prepared for her to tell you what she already said.  If you're not comfortable with the care you're getting, perhaps you should think about switching.  Is that an option for you?

ps - I think you're absosmurfly correct in saying that no one of fertility treatments waits until they're late to test!
